Matt CottrillMatt Cottrill is a highly experienced executive specializing in helping privately held manufacturing companies accelerate sales revenue growth and improve their bottom lines.

He is President and Founder of Growth Track Advisors, LLC, (GTA), an advisory firm that focuses on improving a client’s full spectrum of sales and marketing processes, including positioning, lead generation, sales process, and sales management oversight. 

From a strategic perspective, GTA identifies opportunities, obstacles, and risks within the client’s sales and marketing processes, and develops coordinated and actionable strategies for growth.  Then, they work closely with the client during the hands-on implementation phase.

Matt has an extensive commercial background and more than 25 years of successful experience helping manufacturing companies improve top line revenues and bottom line profits.  He’s held positions in sales, marketing, and business development at the senior management level.  Working with both Fortune 500 and small to medium privately-held manufacturing companies provides him with the experience of the large corporation plus an understanding of the challenges of the privately-held company.

He started his career with USX Corporation.  After working closely with the Marketing Department as a Financial Cost Analyst, he was promoted to the Sales & Marketing organization. During his long tenure with USX Corporation (subsequently an IPO Aristech Corporation), he held a wide range of progressive positions in Sales, Sales Management, Marketing, Product Management, and Business Development.  Subsequently, he was selected for a move to the Merger & Acquisition Department, and was closely involved in the sale of the corporation to Sunoco.  His broad commercial experience, M&A, and cost analysis background provide him with a strategic mindset and powerful insights into pricing strategy. In addition to working with private clients on pricing strategy, this expertise is available through his Value-Based Pricing Workshop.

Subsequently Matt held senior sales and marketing positions with two privately-held manufacturing companies prior to launching Growth Track Advisors.  The creation of Growth Track Advisors was based on the need of privately held manufacturing companies to work with an advisor that can address their needs across a broad range of sales and marketing disciplines. He  has the manufacturing background to quickly and fully understand a client’s business. 

Matt graduated from Robert Morris University with a BSBA.  He later earned his MBA from the Executive Program at University of Houston.  In 2007, he completed the 12 month Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence Entrepreneurial Fellows Program at the University of Pittsburgh.  He is a 2010 graduate of the Compression Planning® Institute.
