In my last Blog Post, I shared with you my thoughts on the various interruptions that a business woman endures as she runs a business while attempting to keep a healthy balance between work and family.

Interruptions may show up as a Distraction, a Detour, or in the most menacing form, as a Derailer.  Knowing the difference between these forms of interruptions is the first step to managing them effectively.

I believe that many of the Distractions are surfacing because of the technology that successful entrepreneurs have adopted to run their business.  In my last blog post, I encouraged you to honestly answer the question, “Have I crossed the line and allowed what was intended to improve my life to take over my life?”

Well, if you are like me the truthful answer is sometimes “no” and often “yes”.  Like many of you, I am still working on keeping a healthy balance between work and family.  So, I join you in the guilt club if you answered “yes”!  Unfortunately, all of this technology and connectedness runs afoul of our life as a spouse, mother, daughter and friend.  Somehow, this feels as if I have broken a promise.

I thought it may be beneficial for all of us to find out exactly how other women entrepreneurs handle our various interruptions, so we may learn from one another.  We have created a Poll on our ExitPromise.com Homepage to gather data from women entrepreneurs like you.

This week’s Poll will be about our email habits and will be followed over the next few weeks with Polls about the other Distractions, Detours, and Derailers.  Please complete the poll and comment here to tell us about your email habits so we may all learn from one another!
